I drove from Lake Tahoe to Las Vegas and stopped for a while to take in the Mojave Desert. The Mojave Desert is an arid desert and the driest desert in North America. The desert transitions from the hot Sonoran Desert to the cooler and higher Great Basin. This desert is in parts of southeastern California and portions of Nevada, Arizona and Utah.
