I spent an entire day at Kennedy Space Center and still did not get to see everything. There is so much to do and see and it was easy to find the different areas of interest. I walked among giant rockets from NASA’s Mercury, Gemini and Apollo programs. This was amazing to see how big the rockets are.
There is a bus tour to see the restricted areas of NASA's Kennedy Space Center and to see operational facilities. The bus driver gave the full history of each launch site and explained plans for the future of American spaceflight.
They offer a tour to experience the space race with the launch of Apollo 8. There is a video to watch how the action happened in the Firing Room as the first crew of Saturn V was launched into space.
The actual artifacts are on display.
The Atlantis space shuttle is available to see. It's displayed since the program was shut down in 2011. It was simply amazing to see the technology and inspiring that a team of humans across the planet helped to build the international space station using the space shuttle.
