I'm a surfer at heart even though I grew up on the Alabama Gulf Coast, so we didn't have great waves. Mike also grew up near the beach in Panama City and he surfed there a bit as well, so we both really enjoyed watching the surfers in the early morning off the Huntington Beach Pier. We spent my birthday having breakfast at Ruby's on the pier and checked out the Endless Summer memorabilia in the dinner. Then we simply relaxed and absorbed the surfer lifestyle watching surfers ride the waves down the huge uninterrupted coastline. Huntington Beach is truly Surf City USA to me.
