Exploring something new about Panama.
Isla Contadora is a Panamanian island on the Pearl Islands archipelago in the Gulf of Panama. Contadora was the island where the Spanish counted the pearls that were harvested from the other islands in the archipelago, hence the name of the island, which means "the one that counts" in Spanish.
Contadora is known for its remote location and beautiful, secluded beaches. We took a boat ride to Isla Contadora and fell in love with the beauty of this island. Isla Contadora is a 20 minute flight or 1 hour boat ride from Panama City.
We walked around the entire island to see all of the different beaches. There were may one or two that we couldn't get to because they were private beaches. Wow! This island is so beautiful!!!
