Bar Harbor, Maine, originally incorporated as Eden on February 23, 1796, has a world renowned ambiance and a quaint seashore community.
Bar Harbor is on Mount Desert Island and serves as a gateway to the mountains and cliffs of neighboring Acadia National Park. From the town pier, the Shore Path winds along the bay overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the Porcupine Islands.
