10 Things To Do In The Ozarks

The Ozarks are beautiful and fascinating and there is so much to do in and around Arkansas and Missouri. Between the two states, I absolutely fell in love with Missouri.

Table Rock Lake

Table Rock Lake boasts nearly 800 miles of shoreline so there's a lot to do on the lake. Branson Belle is a themed steamboat, or there's fishing, boating, or just hanging out at on of the many beaches.

Table Rock State Park

Table Rock State Park is located on Table Rock Lake along the southern side of the city of Branson. It's a beautiful park with great views of the lake and nice trails.

Branson Landing

The Branson Landing has a beautiful boardwalk visitors can stroll along while enjoying scenic views and Lake Taneycomo. There is a $7.5 million light, water, and sound show at the top of each hour. Enjoy lots of shopping and dinning while at Branson Landing.

Highway 76

Highway 76 is like a small Las Vegas in the Ozarks, however the gambling is a little further out. Historic Downtown district, Branson Landing and the surrounding areas. Downtown is home to several hundred businesses, including a variety of restaurants, retail shops, entertainment, outdoor activities and unique attractions.

Historic Downtown Branson

Historic Downtown Branson is filled with shops, restaurants and quaint stores that offer a nostalgic step back in time. And it's easy to get around by walking or riding the free Downtown Trolley.

Lost Canyon Cave and Nature Trail

The trail is two-and-a-half miles, on a golf cart, along the Top of the Rock Lost Canyon Cave & Nature Trail. There are stunning rock formations, beautiful views of Table Rock Lake, and waterfalls.

The Bat Bar at Top of The Rock

The Lost Canyon Cave features the Bat Bar serving up beer and signature drinks. It's in the middle of the dark cave is quite unique.

End of the Trail Sculpture at Top of the Rock

One of the most awe-inspiring moments we witnessed was the Sunset behind the "End of the Trail" sculpture by American artist James Earle Fraser. The "End of the Trail" has endured to become one of the most recognizable images in the United States. It depicts an Native American Indian hanging limp as his horse comes to the end of the trail.

The Bagpipes at Top of the Rock

The sun set on Table Rock Lake while a bagpiper plays in the background is just so peaceful and moving. Then, just as the sun went below the horizon, there was a civil war cannon that was shot and time to celebrated with a toast.

Ancient Ozarks Natural History Museum

The Ancient Ozarks Natural History Museum had prehistoric creatures that were once in the Ozarks thousands of years ago. There was a beautiful collection of Native American artifacts as well as galleries showcasing the American West and Civil War.
