We booked a last minute morning tour of Upper Antelope Canyon, on the Navajo Reservation, and didn't really know what to expect. We arrived before Adventurous Antelope opened, just to be prepared. Several others joined us and then we were separated into groups and assigned to a guide. Our guide was Adelbert Begay. I don't know how we got so lucky to get him as a guide or the time of the tour but the combination was magic.
We, with another group, were loaded onto a two ton military type truck and driven to the canyon. It was an 8:30 tour so we were the first group to arrive so we literally had the canyon to ourselves. Adelbert took time to score us how to assist our cameras to get the best photos. Then, once inside the canyon, he pointed out all of the amazing points of interest and even took the time to take several pictures of us. He made this adventure incredible!!!
Once we finished with the tour and walked back through the canyon, an hour and a half later, the canyon was packed to the point that it was hard to move. We were so lucky to be able to get in on the morning tour and even more lucky to get Adelbert as our guide. He gave each person on his team personalized attention and he made the tour amazing for us!
